Hellgate: London Party - Korea

I've just returned from the Hellgate: London party and the event was simply fantabulous!!

Some key points of the event was that the Korean limited closed beta launch was announced to be in July 2007!

Also, only single player mode of the game was showcased and it had the same customization options that was reflected in the HGL client that I played on in the recent Community Day event in San Francisco.

Below are some pics I took at the event.

Invitation cards to the party. Hawt stuff.

Me posing with a Hunter statue outside club 'Catch Light' where the event was held.

Pink is so in now.

Mmm, demons, here we come!

Sword wielding ceremony. They know kung fu!

Community Day - SF

Hi HGL fans!

I recently had the fantastic opportunity to visit Flagship again (Woot!) - this time for the Community Day event.

Lucky Community peeps who won the opportunity to attend the event had a chance to play the latest version of Hellgate: London and try out the most recently updated skills of the six classes.
They also got a tour of the fabulous Flagship office and meet up with various members of the Flagship team.

Hellgate: London has been polished a lot since the last time I played it about a month back. The details on the armor and environments are fantastic and there's now a wider variety of customization options available (Pink hair - It can't get more cool than this!)
Tyler also gave us a run through of the various classes and their skills. All of us also got a peek into the The Hunter's sniper mode. Zomg, pew pew pew.

FPS fans, get ready to kick some serious ass.

The best part of the entire event for me was the opportunity to meet up with various members of the Hellgate: London Community from all around the world. It was fantastic meeting up with HGL fans like Sol Invictus, Pyke, Scaperx, Vivian, Northrop, Chakl, Laughing God, TPJ.. the list goes on!

This is a shout out to all you guys I met in San Francisco. I miss you all lots already! It's peeps like all of you that make me love my job as a Community Manager :) <3>

Group Picture during our Community Day dinner "Brennan, get off my lap please!" :P

Me and Vivian from 21rpg.com "Bff! I love this gal! *hugs*"

Tyler's hat is just awesome.

Northrop & me. Aww.

This is a pic that Northrop ninjaed-took of my toes...*lol*

That's all for now, folks. I'll be adding more pics soon once I can transfer the pics from my camera to my laptop.

Templar vs Iron Man

My colleague, DG, recently wrote an article about the comparisons between the Templar vs Ironman. I found the article incredibly hilarious and entertaining so I decided to put it here :)______________________________________________

Article by DG

There’s been a lot of talk lately concerning Hellgate: London’s Templar and the popular Marvel Comics Superhero Iron Man.

I’d like to come out here and put all this confusion to bed once and for all.
I’m not sure Iron Man and the Templar want to be holding the same spot in everyone’s eyes, so I put together a side-by-side comparison to see who would win in a fight.

The Templar

Iron Man

Around Since: Early 1100s

Around Since: March 1963

Edge: Templar

Based on: The Knights Templar, an elite group of French Knights formed to protect travelers to the Holy Land.

Based on: Howard Hughes, billionaire engineer, playboy, genius and noted nutcase.

Edge: Templar

Exist in: 2038

Exists in: Present Day

Edge: Even

Battles: Demons and other evil spawn of hell.

Battles: Super villains and, most recently, other superheroes including Captain America.

Edge: Templar

Fights for: The survival of mankind.

Fights for: The U.S. government.

Edge: Templar

Fights with: Holy Swords, Shields and various guns.

Fights with: Fists, built-in repulsor rays and pulse bolts.

Edge: Iron Man

Armor built from: Palladium, a holy metal of the future.

Armor built from: Iron.

Edge: Templar

Women are: Equally powerful and demon-slaying members of the order.

Women are: Birds for Stark’s amusement.

Edge: Templar

Disposition: Holy Warriors

Disposition: Alcoholic

Edge: Templar

Powers: Mad sword wielding skills, healing and holy aura spells.

Powers: Near genius mental capabilities, flight, super strength and energy blasts.

Edge: Iron Man

Force size: A small army

Force Size: 1 guy

Major Edge: Templar

And, as you can see… its an 8-2 in a landslide, favoring the demon-slaying Templar over the temper mental Tony Stark.

Hellgate: London. For the Living.

Don't let the lag pwn you

Hey HGL Fans!

As you guys already know, Infocomm Asia Holdings (IAH) will be hosting Hellgate: London servers in Singapore to provide low pings and fast access for South East Asian countries like Singapore, Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Brunei and Indonesia.

What does this mean for gamers in the region?

Imagine this.

You're playing HGL and a nasty, decomposing zombie is advancing towards you. "RRRGGH!" Your toon raises his weapon in defiance and you're ready to kick the hellscum back to the abysses of hell.

Then, the server lags. You're faced with a frozen screen.

10 secs later ... You're dead.

Not a pretty sight.

IAH brings you servers with a faster connection = good ping rate = you wtfpwning monsters & enemies alike.

Let's have more pew pew & less QQ. Don't let the lag pwn you.
